Eastman Viola Workshop

June 25-July 2, 2017 / Monday-Saturday 8:15 a.m.–9:30 p.m. (plus Sunday morning, July 2)

Six days of intensive exploration into fundamental instrumental techniques and musical interpretation skills. Participants will explore strategies that promote a healthy approach to building facility and work to solidify their musical voice in performance. Designed as an “advanced basics” course featuring master classes, group lessons, private lessons, and voice and movement classes, this workshop is suitable for advanced high school students, conservatory musicians and the seasoned professional. All participants should leave this workshop with greater insight and confidence towards the goals of instrumental mastery and open musical expression.

Orientation: Sunday, June 25 at 7:30 p.m.
Participant Concert: Saturday, July 1 at 7:30 p.m. in Ciminelli Formal Lounge
