All Summer@ Eastman participants must be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus (2nd dose of Pfizer, Moderna or 1st dose of J&J/Janssen vaccines). As of April 6, 2022, booster shots are no longer required. Students must submit a scanned copy of their COVID-19 vaccine card which includes the following information: name, date of birth, vaccine manufacturer, lot number, and date each dose was given. We do plan to allow for limited medical exemptions; anyone interested in this option should contact for instructions.

In addition to the vaccination requirement, all participants attending in-person programs must wear a mask in accordance with University of Rochester policies. The one exception is for professionally-made masks for musicians, which may continue to be used when performing; in non-performance situations, however, everyone must follow the non-cloth mask policy. Musicians who play an instrument with a mouthpiece must cut a small hole/slit in their mask so that their nose and sides of the mouth remain covered when they are playing. Brass and woodwind musicians are required to use a bell cover at all times. Brass players must use a container/rag to collect their condensation.

COVID-19 safety policies and protocols are subject to change; we will update this page as new information is received.
