Welcome to Summer@Eastman!
June 28 - August 6, 2021
The Eastman School of Music Summer at Eastman program offers students and the community an individualized and world-class music education experience. Choose between residential music programs and camps for middle and high school students, week-long institutes devoted to various instruments or specialties, half-day music workshops for youths, and collegiate classes in Music Education, Music History, and Music Theory.
Summer@Eastman goes online for 2021
Due to continuing Coronavirus restrictions in New York State and at the University of Rochester, Summer@Eastman is moving most of its programs online for Summer 2021. We feel strongly that this is the best way to ensure the safety of our faculty, staff, and participants. By making this decision early, we have more time to plan for the online reality and to work towards improving our participants’ online experience.
UPDATE (November 23, 2020): Due to COVID-19, the 2021 Study Abroad in Paris program has been cancelled. As a replacement, Dr. Robert Hasegawa will be teaching the online course Analyzing Contemporary Music. The new course will be offered for credit and noncredit, and will run from June 28-August 6, 2021. Visit the course web page for more details.
We plan to hold our local day camps in person (Adventure Music Camp and High School Wind Ensemble Workshop)!
Our faculty are already hard at work designing engaging and inspiring programs for Summer 2021. We hope you’ll join us!
Students love Summer@Eastman!
